Arizona State guard Maurice Odum buried five 3-pointers for 23 points and six assists to lift the Sun Devils to a 70-60 upset over No. 14 Kansas on Tuesday night. The victory snapped a mini-slump and kept Arizona State's NCAA Tournament hopes alive.
Odum shot 5-of-12 from the field and 8-of-10 from the line. He drained three or more triples for the 11th straight game, averaging 17.2 points and 5.9 assists this season.
Arizona State limited Kansas to 37% shooting. The Sun Devils held a 36-28 halftime edge after Odum's 14 first-half points.
The transfer from Pepperdine leads Arizona State in scoring, assists, threes and steals. He posted double figures in 20 of 23 games.
Arizona State improved to 18-7 with the win. Kansas dropped to 21-6 and saw its nine-game streak end.
Odum overcame a foot injury to score 15 in Saturday's 73-60 win over Utah. Santiago Trouet added a double-double with 12 points and 10 boards.
The Sun Devils sit eighth in the Pac-12 standings. They host Stanford on Saturday in their final regular-season home game.
