Four famous F1 cars worth over €10 million will be up for auction in Monaco

RM will show off four famous Formula 1 cars. The next Sotheby's auction in Monaco is expected to bring in more than €10 million.

The auction will be held at the Grimaldi Forum on April 25 2026. It will feature a 1978 Ferrari 312 T3 a 1991 Ferrari 642 a 1984 Toleman TG183B and a 1979 Fittipaldi F6/A.

Ferrari 312 T3 from 1978

€4.5 million to €5.5 million

Carlos Reutemann drove the 1978 Ferrari 312 T3 in four races of the 1978 F1 season and Gilles Villeneuve drove it in the 1979 Argentinian Grand Prix. Mauro Forghieri designed the 312 T3 which has a naturally aspirated 3-liter flat-12 Ferrari Tipo 015 engine with about 515 horsepower and 236 lb-ft of torque.

Ferrari 642 from 1991

Estimate: €3 million to €4 million

The 1991 Ferrari 642 chassis for sale number 125 was a backup car for Alain Prost and Jean Alesi at the Brazilian and San Marino Grands Prix. The 642 has a 3.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 engine and was designed by Steve Nichols and Jean-Claude Migeot.

The Maranello team wanted to win the championship with the 642 but its best finish in a grand prix was second place at the 1991 United States Grand Prix with Prost driving.

The 642 chassis 125 comes with a spare rear wing jacks a starter and blankets to keep the tires warm.

Toleman TG183B from 1984

Estimated cost: €2.8 million to €3.8 million

Ayrton Senna who had won the championship three times drove the 1984 Toleman TG183B at the Brazilian Grand Prix, which was his first race at home. The TG183B was a new version of the TG183 that came out for the 1983 season and ran until four races into the 1984 season.

Fittipaldi F6/A from 1979

Estimated value: €500,000 to €700,000

Emerson Fittipaldi drove the 1979 Fittipaldi F6/A in seven races during the 1979 season finishing seventh at Watkins Glen. The chassis for sale number F-6-A1 has a rebuilt 3.0-liter Cosworth DFV engine that has less than 400 km on it.

The F6/A also took part in the 2024 Monaco Historic Grand Prix and the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed and the 2024 French Grand Prix support race.
