The 6 foot 1 guard has Caitlin Clark and the Fever to thank for her newfound fame. Cunningham was a well known name before joining the team prior to the 2025 season. But it’s undeniable that she exploded in popularity during her rookie season in Indiana.
But despite her fame Cunningham still gets starstruck especially when it comes to big name celebrities. And that's exactly what happened to the 29 year old after a surprise visit from country music star Blake Shelton on Wednesday.
Shelton a multi Grammy Award-nominated singer songwriter announced Wednesday that his bar restaurant Ole Red is launching a new downtown Indianapolis location. Ole Red will open in 2027 as part of the new Fieldhouse District development on Meridian Street.
Shelton went to the Fever on his promotion tour, stopping by Gainbridge Fieldhouse to watch practice. Cunningham was obviously the happiest player on the court after seeing the country icon.
Cunningham is a big girl country music out of Columbia Missouri most of her Instagram stories are her genre of choice.
So it was no surprise that she was left in awe after meeting one of the biggest names in country music.
The Fever and Cunningham are gearing up for their next preseason game they face the Dallas Wings on Thursday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
The Fever are preparing for the beginning of the new WNBA season. Their first game is scheduled for May 9 against the Wings.
