Garage 66 will be back in the NASCAR Cup Series at Bristol Motor Speedway, but Timmy Hill won't be there because he raced at Darlington Raceway.
Garage 66, which used to be called MBM Motorsports, is one of several part-time teams that have raced in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. This weekend, they will be racing for the 16th time at Bristol Motor Speedway.
The team has only started 12 times this year. They didn't qualify for the preseason Cook Out Clash exhibition race at Bowman Gray Stadium, the official season-opening Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway, or the exhibition All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
There have been 12 starts by six drivers. Most recently, Timmy Hill drove the No. 66 Ford in the playoff opener at Darlington Raceway. This was his first Cup Series start in a year, even though it was first reported that Josh Bilicki would be driving the car for the sixth time this season.
Hill came in 35th place, and the team didn't come back for the playoff race this past weekend at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway. But they will be back this weekend for the round of 16 finale at Bristol Motor Speedway, and they have switched drivers again.
Garage 66 confirms that the driver will swap for Bristol.
Chad Finchum, who raced for the team at Texas Motor Speedway (DNF) in May and then again at Nashville Superspeedway (35th place) in June, will start his third race of the season this Saturday night at the Bass Pro Shops Night Race. The race will take place on the four-turn, 0.533-mile (0.858-kilometer) high-banked Bristol, Tennessee oval.
The No. 66 Ford is one of three part-time non-chartered (open) vehicles on the entry list for this weekend's "Last Great Colosseum," meaning it is guaranteed a spot in the event.
Austin Hill will drive the No. 33 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet, while Corey Heim will drive the No. 67 23XI Racing Toyota.
