"Get me off this field."
City's 6-1 win at Old Trafford in October 2011 is one of the most famous Manchester derbies.
Rooney remarked, "I think that was a big moment for City back then because you could feel City coming up and getting closer to us."
"But to win 6-1 at Old Trafford, I think that was a big deal. I remember being on the field, and it was terrible.
"During the second half, it felt like there were goals after goals, and you just wanted to get off the field."
But he wouldn't be able to turn off the game that night.
"After that, I would generally just go home. But I did have a celebration for my birthday. He claimed, "Joe Hart, Gareth Barry, and a few other City players were invited to my birthday party."
"Everyone you know, including relatives and friends, has made plans to come. I thought, "I can't cancel it," so I went.
"We've got some of the City boys and some of the United boys sitting there. I believe it was me, Crouchy [Peter Crouch], and Harty [Joe Hart] who all got up and sang a Backstreet Boys song. In hindsight, I should have canceled, but my friends and family had already made plans and had babysitters and everything.
"I was so bad at that game," the overhead kick
Before that, 6-1, Rooney scored one of the most famous goals in Premier League history in a derby.
In February 2011, his overhead kick handed them a late 2-1 win.
In 2012, it received the Premier League Goal of the 20 Seasons title.
"I wasn't very good at that game. It's one of the worst games I've ever played. Rooney stated, "I couldn't control a ball."
"I think it's more of an iconic goal because it's the derby and you score to win the game 2-1." But you don't practice kicking the ball over your head.
Rooney's favorite derby memory is when United won 1-0 in 2007 thanks to a penalty kick from Cristiano Ronaldo. This put them on the verge of winning the title.
Rooney recalled, "The next day we won the league." This was his first Premier League title. "We all clearly got together and went out. But I suppose we knew that if we beat City, we would win the league.
Rooney and Wright-Phillips talk about families in football.
In the show, Rooney and Wright-Phillips talked about fathers who play football.
Wright-Phillips is unique in that he has a father and son who both play professional football.
Ian Wright, his father, is a star at Arsenal, and his son D'Margio Wright-Phillips plays for the Belgian club Beerschot.
Wright-Phillips remarked, "A lot of people see you and just expect you to be as good as him or play the same way as him," as he talked about his dad and his little daughter.
"I got a lot of trouble from my parents and other people when I was growing up, and I know my daughter has been receiving it too at 11 years old. When she comes off the field hurt, people have booed her off.
"I just tell her what I've always told them: 'just play your game.' With your football, answer all the questions. Don't react the way everyone thinks you should, which usually means you're not paying attention to what you should be doing.
He remarked on D'Margio, "He really did well at Stoke." And then the boss changes. Things get a little complicated.
"Now he's learning how to cope with the bad things about football that a lot of kids don't see. A lot of kids think that if you play football, you'll always be playing and living the good life.
"So he ends up leaving on loan, which helps Beerschot get promoted to the championship. Last year was a bad year for him since he was hurt.
"So he didn't know how to handle it mentally. Now that the new coach is in charge, they want him off the team, and now he's learning how to deal with something else to do with football.
"There's something he has to deal with as an adult, and as a dad and former football player, I can only help him with some things."
Even though he is only 15, Rooney's son Kai has played for Manchester United in the Under-18 Premier League this season.
Rooney added, "They have a little more pressure on them."
"Kai and Cristiano Ronaldo's boys and Michael Carrick's boys were all on the same team when Ronaldo came back.
"You go and watch, and then all of a sudden there are ten times as many people there as usual, all around the pitch watching. This makes things a lot more stressful because they're coming to see how the three kids play and stuff." They need to be ready.
