In the second round of the Korea Open in Seoul, Emma Raducanu will face Barbora Krejcikova, a former Wimbledon champion.
Raducanu fought hard to win her first-round match against Jaqueline Cristian on Wednesday, winning 6-3, 6-4 in just over two hours after a long rain delay.
Raducanu will play Krejcikova while Great Britain plays Japan in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in China. Captain Anne Keothavong said it was "disappointing" that Raducanu wasn't there.
Raducanu, on the other hand, wants to go up in the rankings, and beating Krejcikova would help her keep the quarter-final points she earned last year.
Krejcikova has had a terrible year with injuries, but she found her form and made it to the US Open quarter-finals earlier this month.
When will Emma Raducanu and Barbora Krejcikova play?
The match is set to take place last on Centre Court on Thursday, September 18, at 11:30 a.m. (UK). But so far, rain has messed up the agenda for the Korea Open.
This is the first time Raducanu and Krejcikova have played each other. The victor might play Iga Swiatek, the top seed, in the quarter-finals. The World No. 2 will play Sorana Cirstea earlier in the day.
How do I watch Raducanu vs. Krejcikova?
Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Tennis will show the match live.
What did Raducanu say after she won her first round?
"It hasn't been easy." I feel like I've been playing this game for three days. I'm so happy with how I made it through after waiting. Very slow and hard. Long points, long rallies. So glad I made it through.
